Township of Ocean Website

This is an on-going website that is accessed by parents, students and community members daily. In 2005 the monthly average “hits” to the website was 241,306. The website maintains daily information including student homework assignments, Board of Education information etc….

District Wide Scoreboards

Eight different locations on sports fields and gymnasiums such as the varsity football stadium and inside different school gymnasiums will have a large sign acknowledging all Diamond Sponsors Organizations. (Click here for pictures and locations of scoreboards.) These fields are utilized by school teams and community teams such as little league, Pop Warner football, traveling soccer and recreational basketball and soccer teams.

School District Activities Calendar

The calendar is distributed to all residents of Ocean Township and Loch Arbour. The calendar contains information pertinent to all public schools in the district including PTA meetings, school events and other activities. Approximately 14,000 copies were printed and mailed directly to residents of Ocean Township and Loch Arbour last year.

District Newsletter

Approximately 12,000 copies of the Education News are published annually in December. It is distributed to all households in Ocean Township and Loch Arbour and showcases District educational and extracurricular programs and various student and staff achievements.

Spartan Spirit Newsletter

The High School student newspaper is distributed and read by all High School students, staff and parents five times a year. Approximately 1,800 copies are printed.

Spartan Times Newsletter

This is an intermediate school student generated newspaper with a variety of student driven articles, poems, drawings and photographs. The newspaper is distributed to students, teachers, and parents. Five hundred copies are printed three times a year for a total of 1500 per year.

High School Drama Club

Approximately 1,000 playbills are distributed during mid-April to all people attending the spring musical production at the Ocean Township High School. These professional productions, such as Grease, attract people of all ages.

Intermediate School Playbill

This program is printed once a year and distributed to approximately 900 people attending the production put on by the intermediate school students.

High School Graduation Program

Approximately 2,000 programs are distributed to all High School seniors, friends, family and staff. The Commencement Program lists graduates, scholarships and other information pertinent to the graduating seniors.

Intermediate School Graduation Program

Approximately 1,000 programs are distributed to all eighth grade students, friends, family and staff. This program lists all graduating students and other information pertinent to the graduating eighth grade students.

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS SCHEDULE POSTER

Approximately 200 posters are printed and posted throughout the School District. Some local businesses choose to have the poster Sport Schedules with sponsor ads in their windows.
