Ocean Township Sponsorship Program

The Township of Ocean Board of Education, as part of their Policy 9720 - Advertising and Sponsorships, would like to forge a mutually beneficial relationship with local organizations and businesses through a sponsorship program.  Your organization, as an Education Sponsor, would receive numerous print, web and optional signage advertisements or acknowledgements in exchange for a one-time yearly fee. There are four (4) ‘Spartanship’ Levels of sponsorship involvement (Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Titanium) to meet your advertising needs and budget. All revenues received from the yearly sponsorship fees will be utilized to defray the costs of education and to increase funds available for educational technology.

Sponsor Benefits

The sponsorship program will place your advertisement or acknowledgement in multiple placements that will be seen and read throughout the year by parents, students, staff and residents of Ocean Township and Loch Arbour. 

Your organization's advertisement or acknowledgement will be included on the
District’s Website at www.oceanschools.org .  The website is regularly accessed by parents, students, staff, vendors and community members.  It contains daily updated information, student homework assignments, district email access links and Board of Education information. Your advertisement or acknowledgement will be displayed on the ‘home’ page with a direct link to your website. Platinum, Diamond and Titanium Levels additionally include a scrolling banner advertisement on the ‘home’ page. Last year there was over 1,473,500 website ‘hits’ to the homepage of the District website.  The District’s Facebook page potentially reaches over 78,000 people with over 1,000 followers.   Web Backpack reaches over 3,500 via an email list to parents and residents and the Twitter account maintained by the superintendent of schools has 2,739 followers.

  • Your organization's advertisement or acknowledgement will be recognized by ‘Spartanship’ Level in fifteen (15) of the District’s Publications, including:

    • School District Activities Calendar that contains important information pertinent to all public schools in the District, including contact lists, holidays, PTA and BOE meetings, school events, testing schedules and other activities. Approximately 5,300 copies are printed and mailed directly to all households with school age students and available to all residents of Ocean Township and Loch Arbour at various locations.
    • High School Sports Schedule Posters - Approximately 200 posters are printed per season and posted throughout the School District. Some local businesses choose to display the Sports Schedule poster with sponsor advertisements in their store windows.
    • Athletic Student Folders – Approximately 1000 are printed each year, which are distributed during the following events: freshmen orientation, open house, new teacher orientation, and available at registrations.
    • Education News ‘Digital’ District Newsletter showcases District educational and extracurricular programs and various student and staff achievements.
    • High School Graduation Program lists graduates, scholarships and other information pertinent to the graduating seniors.  Approximately 2,000 programs are distributed to all High School seniors, friends, family and staff.
    • Intermediate School Graduation Program lists all graduating students and other information pertinent to the graduating eighth grade students.  Approximately 750 programs are distributed to all eighth grade students, friends, family and staff.
    • Spartan Spirit Newspaper is the High School student newspaper, which is distributed and read by all High School students, staff and parents five times a year.   Approximately 1,800 copies are printed and distributed each year.
    • Spartan Times Newspaper is the Intermediate School’s student generated ‘digital’ newspaper available to the Intermediate students, teachers, and parents three times a year.
    • Sand Pebbles Literary Magazine is the Intermediate School’s student generated magazine with a variety of student poems, drawings, photographs and short stories.  Approximately 150 copies are printed and distributed each year.
    • Afterglow Literary Magazine is the High School’s student generated magazine with a variety of student poems, drawings, short stories and photographs. Approximately 100 copies are printed and distributed each year.
    • High School Drama Club Playbills for two (2) productions each school year, the fall drama and the spring musical production that attracts people of all ages. Approximately 1,000 playbills are distributed to all in attendance.
    • Intermediate School Playbill for the the production put on by the intermediate school students. Approximately 900 playbills are distributed to all in attendance.


      Your organization's advertisement or acknowledgement will optionally be located on a 4’ x 10’ sign next to a District Scoreboard at one of Nine (9) different sports fields or gymnasium locations acknowledging our Diamond and Titanium ‘Spartanship’ Level organizations.

Field Scoreboards are located at the:

Varsity Football/Track & Field Stadium
Varsity Baseball Field
Varsity Soccer/Boys Lacrosse Field
Varsity Field Hockey/Girls Lacrosse Field
Varsity Softball Field

These fields are utilized by school teams and community teams such as little league baseball, Pop Warner football and traveling soccer.

Gymnasium Scoreboards are located at the:

High School main gymnasium (2 scoreboards)
High School "new" gymnasium (2 scoreboards)
Intermediate main gymnasium (6,7, 8 = 1 scoreboard)
Intermediate 5th grade gymnasium (2 scoreboards)

These gymnasiums are utilized by school teams and recreational basketball and volleyball teams.

Sponsorship Levels

Organizations that participate in the sponsorship program maintain a relationship with the Township of Ocean Board of Education in accordance with Policy #9720. Revenues received from the yearly sponsorship fees are utilized to defray the cost of education and to increase funds available for educational technology. There are four (4) levels of sponsorship involvement to meet your advertising needs and budget.

  • Titanium Spartanship (Customized)

  • Diamond Spartanship

    • Your organization will receive all of the benefits of the Platinum Spartanship level, plus:
    • Be acknowledged as a Diamond Sponsor
    • Be upgraded to one large size acknowledgement in each of the fifteen (15) District Publications.
    • Your organization will sponsor a sports team and your name will be displayed on a 4’ x 10’ sign located under a Varsity or Junior Varsity sport scoreboard.

      The cost for the benefits of the Diamond ‘Spartanship’ level is
       $7,500

  • Platinum Spartanship

    • Your organization will receive all of the benefits of the Gold ‘Spartanship’ level, plus:
    • Be acknowledged as a Platinum Sponsor
    • Receive a scrolling banner advertisement on the ‘home’ page of the school district website.
    • Be upgraded to one Medium size acknowledgement in each of the fifteen (15) District Publications.

      The cost for the benefits of the Platinum ‘Spartanship’ level is $4,000

  • Gold Spartanship

    • Your organization will be acknowledged as a Gold Sponsor on the District website and include a link to your organization’s website.
    • Your organization will be acknowledged as a Gold Sponsor and will receive one Small size acknowledgement in each of the fifteen (15) District Publications.
    • Your organization will be acknowledged as a Gold Sponsor at the High School Athletic Awards Dinner, High School Sporting Events and on a handout at monthly Board of Education Public Meetings.

      The cost for the benefits of the Gold ‘Spartanship’ level
      is $1,500
